Reiki is an alternative therapy referred to as energy healing. This ancient healing modality has been around for centuries but the current practice emerged in the 1922 through a Japan Buddhist Dr Mikao Usui.
The practice involves transferring the Universes Ki/Chi/Prana life energy to balance the energy body and assist the natural healing ability of the physical body.
The session is simple. The client lays fully clothed on a bed (Massage table) and me, the practitioner calls in the energy and sends it to the client by laying hands on or over the clients body. It targets the energy fields around the body and removes blocks in a similar way to acupuncture.
I love this healing modality, which has greatly served me over the past 20 years. I find that most people feel a deep sense of relaxation. They also feel the heat radiating from my hands as the energy flows. With each session I get feedback but people always come away feeling calmer and more at ease.
