Why Yoga?

 

Yoga has evolved significantly since its beginning thousands of years ago, and today, it is practiced by people all over the world, regardless of their religious or spiritual beliefs.

For the likes of Dani, a modern spiritualists, yoga is a powerful tool for cultivating self-awareness, inner peace, and connection with the divine or the universe.

Here are some ways Dani incorporates yoga into a spiritual practice:

  5. Dani’s believe her yoga class is a time for self-reflection, and encourages students to explore their thoughts, emotions, and beliefs, and to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their connection with the divine.

Overall, yoga can be a powerful practice to cultivate inner peace, self-awareness, and connection with the divine, whatever your belief.

 

Other Benefits of Yoga Practice

Yoga can challenge, strenghten and make flexible the body, it stops the mind chatter, eases stress, aids sleep and builds self esteem. It is a non-competitive practice and you are encouraged to develop at your own pace.

Each of us are different and Yoga has something offer everyone. Yoga practice gives you the weekly or daily space to switch off and spend time taking care of yourself.

REIKI SESSION

Reiki is an alternative therapy referred to as energy healing. This ancient  healing modality has been around for centuries but the current practice emerged in the 1922 through a Japan Buddhist Dr Mikao Usui.

The practice involves transferring the Universes Ki/Chi/Prana life energy to balance the energy body and assist the natural healing ability of the physical body.

The session is simple. The client lays fully clothed on a bed (Massage table) and  me, the practitioner calls in the energy and sends it to the client by laying hands on or over the clients body. It targets the energy fields around the body and removes blocks in a similar way to acupuncture.

I love this healing modality, which has greatly served me over the past 20 years. I find that most people feel a deep sense of relaxation. They also feel the heat radiating from my hands as the energy flows. With each session I get feedback but people always come away feeling calmer and more at ease.
